Twiggypop Ranch designs, manufactures, and sells fun and unique products for the entire family. All products are manufactured in Seattle, WA with love and care.
Our focus is on providing products that are vital to the development and celebration of the family. We strive to design our products so that they each have a unique and special place in the retail market without overlapping pre-existing products that other companies are already making. We think this makes our products special and we hope that you will think so as well.
The following is my short bio and a story about how I chose to name the company. I hope that you enjoy using this site and that you will find our products worth your interest and money.
With love, Corina (owner of Twiggypop Ranch - founded summer 2009)
Corina’s Bio:
A short list of steps along the way to the ranch…
Born in Michigan in the seventies
Spent my formative years learning how to learn for the fun of it in three, wonderful , pale yellow chicken coops
Learned how to focus and achieve in suburban brick and mortar public schools
Allowed my education of the study of people to take wings in walls covered with ivy (at Brown) and had the opportunity to observe humanity from the rooftop of the Smithsonian
Experienced the rollercoaster of being an employee of a Big Business
Learned how to think with the ‘other’ half of my brain in a graffiti covered concrete train depot (at Sciarc) while additionally making a pit stop in the forests of Finland
Played in the mud while buying dirt and rocks and things to help realize the designs I created for clients’ landscapes
Started Twiggypop Ranch in Ballard, a neighborhood of Seattle, Washington where I now live and play
The Story:
I find great joy in being permitted to help people create beautiful places to live and am now eager to help people improve their environments through the establishment of my new company.
Clothing provides a very immediate and direct influence on a person’s well being. It should be approachable, affordable, and tangible for everyone on a daily basis. The manifestation of this desire to improve the lives of those around me is particularly visible looking at the line of products for sale at Twiggypop Ranch. The pieces range from a jacket that functions as both a piece of apparel for women who are pregnant or not, to a maternity swimming suit for fitness health, and finally to the geometry based hats and accompanying activity booklet. Each of these items is focused on helping people embrace life.
Several years ago I had the idea of developing a landscape garden filled with strangely contorted trees ‘Twiggypops’ (sort of Bonsai but on a larger scale and more abstract). Parallel to this, I continued to brainstorm about how I would organize a design company were I to start one of my own. The more the idea of starting my own design business congealed in my head, it became a list of words that express my thoughts on life and connecting with others. In thinking how these words related to one another, the idea of a ranch appeared. When I think of a ranch it is a real, solid place that houses a myriad of experiences and opportunities. It is also an ideal place to raise Twiggypop trees. Thus the marriage of a place and an idea is born. Twiggypop Ranch.
